The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) lasts nearly the entire month of November (8–24 November 2024), and this year again, many Slovak films will be screened in Estonia.

The world premiere of the Slovak film Nobody Loves Me, directed by the duo Petr Kazda and Tomáš Weinreb, has been selected for the Critics’ Picks Competition. The film Ms. President (d. Marek Šulík), which recently won the main award at the Ji.hlava IDFF, will be presented within the Doc@PÖFF Competition. The Official Selection – Competition will screen the co-production The American (d. Viktor Tauš).

The Best of Docs section will showcase the film Wishing on a Star directed by Peter Kerekes, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. The Best of Festivals and Standing with Ukraine sections will bring the co-production The Editorial Office (d. Roman Bondarchuk), which premiered at this year’s Berlinale.

The Children’s Programme will present two feature animated films, both nominated for the ECFA Award: Living Large (d. Kristina Dufková) and Diplodocus (d. Wojtek Wawszczyk).

In the Shorts Animation Competition, I Died in Irpin (d. Anastasiia Falileieva) will compete, while in the Kids section it will be Hello Summer by Martin Smatana and Veronika Zacharová.

The Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event programme for film professionals (15–22 November 2024) will present among the Works in Progress projects the co-production Secret Delivery (d. Ján Sebechlebský, SK prod. Arinafilm).
