Multiple Slovak talents are heading to the Marché du Film and the 77th Festival de Cannes (May 14 – 25, 2024).

Father, a new feature project in production directed by Tereza Nvotová and produced by Veronika Paštéková of Danae Production, will be presented at Goes to Cannes within the Tallinn Black Nights collection. Read the interview with Tereza Nvotová.

Thanks to the support from ERIAC – European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture, a director-producer Vera Lacková will be part of Producers Network with her upcoming documentary Do Magic. Lacková will also be a guest at the panel titled Roma (in) Filmmaking as part of the impACT program. Read the article to find out more.

Jan Saska’s Hurikan and the Martin Smatana–Veronika Zacharová animated film Hello Summer have been nominated for Prix UniFrance awarded during the festival.

This year, Slovakia will be present at the Marché du Film in Cannes for the 20th time. Together with friends and colleagues from the Czech Republic, the Slovak Film Institute offers an informational and promotional point for Slovak cinema, and a networking place for Slovak film professionals and their international counterparts.

The Slovak Film Institute team is ready and happy to meet you at the Czech and Slovak pavilion – No. 140 in Village International.

Presentation of Slovak cinema and audiovisual industry at the Marché du Film is organized by the Slovak Film Institute, with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, and the Slovak Film Commission, an organizational unit of the Slovak Audiovisual Fund.
