Slovak films have a busy spring ahead: during April, they will be presented to audiences at various events – from the 12th Rome Independent Film Festival, 20th Titanic IFF in Budapest, 13th goEast Wiesbaden FF and Disappearing Act V, to the 10th Crossing Europe FF in Linz, 20th IFAF Stuttgart and 20th Hot Docs Toronto.

Two Slovak films will be presented in Rome – the Feature Film Competition will presented the co-production title DONT STOP by Richard Řeřicha and Momo by Teodor Kuhn will compete in the Student Short Film section.

20th Titanic IFF Budapest (April 5 – 13, 2013)
Two Slovak films will compete in the Competition section of the Hungarian festival Titanic, both of them Rotterdam IFF-world premiered – My Dog Killer (by Mira Fornay) and Fine, Thanks (by Mátyás Prikler). The Staropramen Beer Snacks section will feature co-production titles Lidice (by Petr Nikolaev) and In the Shadow (by David Ondříček).

13th GoEast Wiesbaden (April 10 – 16, 2013)
Four films will be screened in the program of the Central and Eastern European-focused festival in Wiesbaden, Germany. Director Juraj Krasnohorský will personally present his film Tigers in the City in the Beyond Belonging section. Peter Bebjak’s Evil and Władysław Pasikowski’s Aftermath will be screened within the Highlights section, a section focused on genre films connected to number 13. The Special section will offer the co-production family film The Blue Tiger by Petr Oukropec and Bohdan Sláma.

10th Crossing Europe Linz (April 23 – 28, 2013)
Crossing Europe, celebrating its 10th anniversary, offers author films of the young European generation. The Competition section will include Made in Ash, personally introduced by the director Iveta Grófová and the cinematographer Viera Bačíková and the Working Worlds section will present the Graduates – Freedom Is Not for Free documentary by director Tomáš Krupa. He will introduce the film personally, as well.

20th IF of Animated Films Stuttgart (April 23 – 24, 2013)
The prestigious festival of animation film will screen the new projekt of Slovak animator Katarína Kerekesová – the Tricks for Kids section will present her new animation children TV series Mimi and Liza.
