
The International Competition of Documentary Films will present Normalization (2013) by Robert Kirchhoff in an international premiere. The film is nominated for the Leipziger Ring Award for the Best documentary about the subject of democracy.
The co-production title Eugenic Minds (2013) by Pavel Štingl, also presented in an international premiere, will represent Slovakia in the International Programme of Documentary Films. It was also nominated for the newly established award for crossover documentary-animation films Animadok Dove.
The festival audience will also be able to see the successful animation short The Pandas (2013) by Matúš Vizár in the International Competition of Animation Films. The Pandas will aslo compete for the PINK elephants Award.
The third and last session of the workshop for documentary films in editing phase DOK.Incubator will be held during the festival. The Slovak participant this year is the project Okhwan’s Mission Impossible. The public presentation of the projects will be held on October 30, at 10 am in Leipziger Pfeffermühle.
