Slovakia Film Festival commences on Friday, October 14, 2016 in Taipei (Taiwan); the event will continue until Sunday, October 30.

The 32nd Warsaw Film Festival (October 7 – 16, 2016) introduces Slovak films within both official and industry programme.

The Slovak Visual – Mostra do Cinema Eslovaco kicks off on October 6 and runs till November 2, 2016. A touring showcase of Slovak films gives Brazilians a unique opportunity to discover significant archive films, as well as essential  pieces from contemporary Slovak cinema.

KısaKes – Cut it Short (September 27 – 30, 2016) is a short film festival held in Istanbul open to all short film makers from all over the world which initiated to give priorly youngs the possibility to express themselves through art and to share those expressions among themselves and their environment under the common language of cinema.

The Slovak nomination for the Best Foreign Language Film Award of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), also known as the Oscar, is Eva Nová by Marko Škop.

The second edition of the Visegrad Film Festival will kick off in a few days (September 19 – 28, 2016). The festival will present a wide range of quality films from the region of the V4 countries.

Slovak Film Days in Budapest kick off already this Thursday, Septermber 15. The three-day showcase of Slovak films will carry the slogan: Look into your neighbour’s eyes and will be held in the premisses of Toldi Cinema. Its aim is to present to the Hungarian audience a selection of five successful contemporary Slovak films produced within the last three years, all awarded with the main national prize Sun in a Net.

Seven Slovak films are heading to Belgrade and Vojvodina´s villages with the majority of Slovak inhabitants. The representative showcase Slovak Film Days will run from September 27 to Oct 1, 2016.

The Czech and Slovak Film Festival of Australia is held for the fourth time in four Australian cities. The festival starts on Sept 14 in Melbourne and then continues to Perth, Sydney and for the first time also to Canberra.
