Just seconds away from the beautiful Regents Park and London ZOO, or only 25 minutes travel distance from the Olympic Village, the fans will have a chance to “taste” also a little bit of Slovak culture.
The 38th edition of the Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic will start July 21 and will last until July 28. Several Slovak titles will appear in the programme this year.
Slovak films continue in their success, which they achieved in a number of significant film festivals.
The new independent production documentary short The Star (dir. Andrej Kolenčík, 2012) is celebrating its first successes. After receivign the Honorable Mention of the Jury at Leiden International Short Film Experience, it will be presented at the significant Palm Springs International ShortFest.
The 14th edition of the Cinema at the Border film showcase, taking place in Český Těšín and Cieszyn at the Czech-Polish border, April 28 – May 3, 2012, will honour Slovak film director Štefan Uher.
Perhaps the most significant event dedicated to short films is starting in Clermont-Ferrand tomorrow. The prestigious International Short Film Festival (27. 1. – 4. 2. 2012) will welcome a Slovak representative, as well.
The International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand (4. – 12. 2. 2011) will present the animation musical Stones by Katarína Kerekesová within the programme of its 33rd edition.
