Two Slovak films have advanced to the pre-selection of 67 feature-length films for the 38th edition of the European Film Awards, based on the voting of the members of the European Film Academy (EFA).
In the Feature Film Selection, the majority-Slovak fiction film Father (dir. Tereza Nvotová, SK prod: DANAE Production) was included among the 44 selected titles. In the Animated Feature Film Selection, the film Tales from the Magic Garden (dir. David Súkup, Patrik Pašš, Leon Vidmar, Jean-Claude Rozec), produced as an equal co-production of four countries (SK prod: Artichoke Production), was included among the eight selected films.
The European Film Awards ceremony will take place on January 17, 2026 in Berlin.
