A showcase of domestic cinema Slovak Film Week (April 3 – 9, 2017) keeps on and this year it is held for the third time. Visitors of the Lumière Cinema will have opportunity to catch up with the Slovak films released in cinemas in 2016. The part of the event is also The Sun in a Net 2017 Gala Ceremony.

During the Week almost 30 films – fiction, documentary and animated – will be screened most of them featured at prestigious international festivals. Moreover, the programme will be enriched by work of Rudolf Urc, who will receive award for the outstanding contribution to Slovak cinema at The Sun in a Net Gala Ceremony (April 7, 2017)

The festival takes place in Bratislava, in the Cinema Lumière – Cinema of Slovak Film Institute, member of Europa Cinemas. Slovak Film Week is organized by Slovak Film and TV Academy (SFTA) in cooperation with the Slovak Film Institute and Radio and TV of Slovakia (RTVS). Partners are Slovak Audiovisual Fund, Tatra Banka Foundation, autors´company LITA and Slovak Post.
