One of the oldest film festivals for children and youth Zlín Film Festival (May 26 – June 3, 2017) traditionally features several Slovak films.
Little Harbour (dir. Iveta Grófová) competes in the International Competition of Feature Films for Children and Filthy (dir. Tereza Nvotová) is introduced within the International Competition of European First Films. Moreover, another competition sidebar Zlín Dog shows a student short Morning of Butterflies (dir. Mária Martiniaková).
Further Slovak coproduction titles are included to the non-competitive sections. An animated feature the Oddsockeaters (dir. Galina Miklínová) together with Angel of the Lord 2 (dir. Jiří Strach) are screened in the section Czech Films and TV, and a romantic comedy All or Nothing (dir. Marta Ferencová) is presented at Open Air Cinema.
Additionally, Slovakia has also representatives among the festival juries.
