Slovak films and new projects presented in Warsaw

The 30th edition of Warsaw FF takes place on October 10 – 19, 2014. Several Slovak films will be presented within the festival official and Industry programme.

The Special Screenings section will present the omnibus film Slovakia 2.0 (2014) directed by 10 Slovak authors, including such directors as Juraj Herz, Martin Šulík or Zuzana Liová and Iveta Grófová.

Slovakia 2.0 will be introduced to the audience by the film’s producers Zora Jaurová and Mátyás Prikler. The Czech-Polish-Slovak co-production documentary Gottland (2014) will be screened in the Documentary Competition section.

Monologues, a German short film of a Slovak director living in Berlin – Matus the First, will be also screened within the Short Competition section.

Upcoming Slovak films will be also presented within the Industry platform of the festival – CentEast: Juraj Nvota’s Hostage will be presented by producer Marian Urban and the project The Cleaner by Peter Bebjak will be introduced by its producer Rastislav Šesták.
