Anotácia
The first part of the Garden Store trilogy is a melodrama set in the 1940s during the German occupation. Three young women and two children are waiting for the return of their imprisoned husbands and fathers. Jiří, a family friend and doctor, selflessly helps this family community thrown together by the war. The Family Friend is a story of a love that could not be fulfilled, it tells of faithfulness, desire, guilt and love, about departures and returns, about family, parents and children. It is a family portrait as seen through the eyes of these women thrown together by fate.

Prvý diel trilógie Záhradníctvo je melodráma odohrávajúca sa v 40. rokoch počas nemeckej okupácie. Tri mladé ženy a dve deti čakajú na návrat svojich väznených mužov a otcov. Vojnou vynútenému rodinnému spoločenstvu obetavo pomáha rodinný priateľ a lekár Jiří. Rodinný priateľ je príbehom lásky, ktorá nemohla byť naplnená, rozpráva o vernosti, túžbe, vine a láske, o odchodoch a návratoch, o rodine, rodičoch a deťoch. Ide o rodinný portrét videný pohľadom žien, ktoré dal dokopy osud.
